“No one can conduct mining operations in Azerbaijani lands without the permission of Azerbaijani state,” said the spokesperson of Turkiye’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) Omer Celik at the press conference, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports.
According to him, the tension in the Lachin corridor took place namely for this reason.
“It is unacceptable for Armenians living in the areas where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed to continue exploiting the deposits without obtaining permission from the Azerbaijani officials. Armenia should restrain provocations in the region. Establishment of peace in the region will be beneficial for everyone,” added Omer Celik.
