There are many opportunities and grounds in order to further deepen cooperation between Hungary and Azerbaijan, said the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Siarto at the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Hungary intergovernmental commission held in Baku, APA reports.
He noted that the volume of trade has increased by 21% last year, the largest Hungarian bank operates in Azerbaijan, and the largest Hungarian companies actively invest in Azerbaijan.
"Our bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan contributes to the energy security of our country. Negotiations are underway between SOCAR and our energy company. We hope that we will be able to achieve the transportation of the Azerbaijan gas to Hungary in the next year. There are opportunities for this. Our governments actively operate," said the FM.
