Azerbaijani Ambassador informed the participants of the event about the rich life path of Heydar Aliyev, how the national leader led more than 30 ministries as the first deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, and how he did great things for the country. In particular, he emphasized that the construction of the Baikal-Amur main line was expanded precisely after Heydar Aliyev took control.
"When Heydar Aliyev was the head of the commission investigating the causes of the accident of the ship "Admiral Nakhimov" that resulted in the death of many people, he personally received the members of each family affected by the tragedy and paid special attention to solving their problems," the diplomat said.
Polad Bulbuloglu informed the guests that in 1993, at the invitation of the Azerbaijani people, the national leader returned to Baku from Nakhchivan and began to lead independent Azerbaijan, which was on the verge of a civil war and complete collapse: "In this difficult situation, thanks to his great influence, ability and experience, he was able to restore stability in the republic in a very short time and the country took its rightful place in the international world.
Although Heydar Aliyev studied architecture, he did not become an architect. He became an architect in the wider and sacred sense of the word - the architect of his native Azerbaijan. Today's Azerbaijan is the work of a national leader. Also in the sense that he raised such a son who successfully leads the republic today", added P. Bulbuloglu.
In particular, the ambassador said that President Ilham Aliyev fulfilled the dream of Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijanis all over the world by liberating the lands of Azerbaijan from occupation, returning Karabakh to Azerbaijan and the pearl of our homeland, Shusha, and thereby engraved his name in the history of Azerbaijan with golden letters.
In the continuation of his speech, Polad Bulbuloglu shared his fond memories of Mrs. Zarifa Aliyeva and emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev, who was formed in the family of Heydar and Zarifa Aliyev, confidently leads Azerbaijan in today's rather difficult situation.
"He finds the only right way for our country at a time when aggression reigns all over the world and international norms are ignored. Today, the spirit of the national leader is happy, as Azerbaijan won a unique victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. This victory is the service of the children of Azerbaijan who died for the freedom of their country. May God have mercy on them!"
