"Today, as a result of the successful foreign policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has become one of the main actors in the Middle East," said MP Jeyhun Mammadov during today's session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
The MP noted that the events taking place in the Middle East today are closely watched by the entire Muslim world: "In this regard, Türkiye and Israel choosing Azerbaijan to discuss issues related to Syria is an indication of the successful and wise policy implemented by President Ilham Aliyev. The recent developments once again showed that Azerbaijan was absolutely right to lay the foundation for relations with Israel in time and successfully developed them. In this regard, it is of special importance that Azerbaijan is developing relations with both Türkiye and Israel in the current period."
