"So far, we have encountered numerous cases of European Parliament resolutions targeting Azerbaijan. When talking about European-Azerbaijani relations, it should be noted that there are various institutions here. Several institutions have a positive position towards us and want to develop relations with us," said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a press conference on the results of the year, APA reports.

"Institutions such as PACE and the European Parliament are shaping a negative agenda in bilateral relations. The unfair position of these institutions towards us, unfortunately, has affected our relations with other European institutions. The Milli Majlis had a very coherent response to the resolution adopted against us in the European Parliament on December 18. In 2025, many European institutions wanted to develop relations with Azerbaijan. We responded positively to these steps because Azerbaijan has an interest in developing relations with all European institutions. If next year some European institutions move away from their biased positions and wish to normalize relations, we will respond positively as well. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do, nor do we have the means to influence them. Overall, we do not consider it necessary to report on the resolution adopted against us on December 18,” said Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov.
