Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with a member of the Senate of the National Congress of the Federative Republic of Brazil, head of the working group on interparliamentary relations with Azerbaijan, Senator Antonio Anastasia, the press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has sincerely greeted the Brazilian senator, noted that he attaches importance to development of Azerbaijan-Brazil relations.
He noted that the development of relations at the level of parliament impacts positively directly establishing relations among people.
The Minister expressed confidence that the visit of the senator and the numerous meetings held during the visit will contribute to the development of bilateral relations. The Minister also briefed the other side on the former Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, its grave consequences, the current situation in the region after the 44-day war, new realities in the post-conflict period, the restoration and construction of liberated territories from occupation. He spoke about the implementation of trilateral statements, as well as the measures taken by Azerbaijan to normalize the relations between the two countries. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan speaks from the position lasting peace and prosperity.
