“Azerbaijan–Iran relations are developing through high and top-level visits and contribute to these relations," Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, said at a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, APA reports.
“There are deep historical and religious roots between our countries and peoples. Azerbaijan has always been interested in the friendship-oriented direction of Iran–Azerbaijan relations, and steps are being taken in this regard. 2025 has been a very important year in this respect,” the minister said.
Jeyhun Bayramov also stated that meetings of the Economic Commission between the two countries have been held: “There are regular contacts throughout the year, and relations are expanding. In the first 10 months of 2025, trade turnover was around 520 million dollars, and steps are being taken in this direction.”
The minister also stated that the construction of the Aghband–Kelaleh highway bridge will be completed in the early months of 2026.
