MFA demands from Armenia to refrain from taking steps against Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty

"Instead of making baseless statements, we demand from the Armenian side to return to the negotiations on the peace agreement, which they refused since December last year, open communications, comply with the obligations arising from the Trilateral statement, including the complete withdrawal of its forces from the territories of Azerbaijan, and to refrain from taking steps against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan," noted in the commentary of Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizadeh on the claims voiced by Pashinyan on April 13 at the governmental meeting, APA reports.

Aykhan Hajizade noted that instead of giving a positive response to Azerbaijan's proposal to establish a border checkpoint at the beginning of the Lachin road in order to put an end to the provocations and illegal activities carried out by Armenia in Azerbaijan, the Armenian side does not hesitate to distort the decision of the International Court of Justice regarding the Lachin road. .
