Delegation of the European Parliament (EU) Subcommittee on Security and Defence (SEDE) will visit Armenia on June 19-22, APA reports citing the website of the European Parliament.
It is reported that the main purpose of the visit of the SEDE of the European Parliament is to assess the security situation in Armenia, the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the activities of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), which started in February.
The delegation will meet with ministers of Armenian government and representatives of Armenian parliament, as well as ambassadors of the member states to EU.
The delegation led by committee chairwoman Nathalie Loiseau consists of deputies from different political groups: Arnaud Danjean (EPP, FR), Michael Gahler (EPP, DE), Gheorghe-Vlad Nistor (EPP, RO), Lars Patrick Berg (ECR, DE), Fabio Massimo Castaldo (NI, IT ).
