Relations between Estonia and Azerbaijan are deepening, said Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku, APA reports.
The minister said that Azerbaijan plays an important role for Estonia in the region:
"Our neighbors are the same, like Russia. Sometimes neighbors can be very aggressive," he noted.
The minister also noted that hundreds of Azerbaijanis study at Estonian universities.
According to Margus Tsahkna, cooperation in the field of education is very important: "We will expand this cooperation. Digitalization can also be a good area of cooperation. Estonia is a leader in digitalization. Bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Estonia can be further improved. Our neighbors - Latvia and Finland - can also benefit from the improvement of these relations."
