"I met with President Ilham Aliyev. In the coming hours, I will attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Italian-Azerbaijani University," said Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio at the press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, APA reports.
He said that he also discussed the issue of Ukraine with Jeyhun Bayramov: “Very tense crisis has emerged in the continent after the Second World War. Continuation of negotiations between the two sides is a priority for us. We also appreciate the steps of the Turkish side. Sanctions against Russia do not bypass not only Italy, but all European countries in the field of energy. In this context, we attach great importance to cooperation with our partners that are reliable and have great potential in this area. Italy already wants to be free from Russia's energy dependence. Azerbaijan is one of the main priority partners. Our relations with Azerbaijan are not only in the field of energy. Today, our relations with Baku are at a high level".
