I welcome the intensification of the dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Foreign Minister of Latvia Edgars Rinkevich at the summer session of PACE, APA reports.
Then he responds to the questions of the parliamentarians.
The minister hopes that despite all the challenges both countries will sign a peace treaty.
"I welcome the intensification of dialogue and political process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. I hope that this will lead to positive and concrete results. I also think that the Council of Europe has a role to play in creating the necessary conditions in this process," he noted.
