"We thank Kyrgyzstan for supporting the initiative to declare Azerbaijan's ancient city of Shusha the cultural capital of the Turkic world next year," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in a statement after the meeting with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, APA reports.

"We have confirmed the invariability of the course of intensification and expansion of friendly relations. Today, we have brought the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan to the level of strategic partnership, ”said President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov in a statement with President Ilham Aliyev on April 20.

Sadyr Japarov said that the talks were held in an atmosphere of full mutual understanding, sincerity, and trust, which characterizes the fraternal relations between the two countries.
