The Kremlin commented on NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s visit to South Caucasus, APA reports.

The Press Secretary of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov told journalists that “NATO's general intention to strengthen its presence in the Caucasus is well known to them, and how to say, it is visible to the naked eye.”

According to him, “there’s such opinion that NATO's attempts to somehow expand its influence and presence are unlikely to bring stability to the Caucasus.”

The Press Secretary of the Russian Leader also noted that such contacts are “sovereign rights” of the South Caucasus states.

He also emphasized that they are following this process carefully.

Note that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visited Azerbaijan on March 17, Georgia on March 18, and he paid a visit to Armenia today.
