The first batch of Kazakh grain has been delivered to Armenia, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in a joint press statement with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Astana, APA reports.
“I express my gratitude to the Azerbaijani leader for the decision to remove restrictions and create conditions for direct bilateral trade through the territory of Azerbaijan. Thus, in November of this year, the first batch of Kazakh grain was delivered to Armenia from the territory of Azerbaijan. This initiative has special political and economic significance. Kazakhstan is ready to regularly supply Armenia with high-quality grain products and other goods. We agreed to make all necessary efforts for the further development of this direction. One of the priority tasks is the opening of direct air communication between the two countries and the organization of air cargo transportation. There are already concrete plans in this area, the parties will begin to implement these plans in the near future,” the President of Kazakhstan said.
