"Today, EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi and a delegation led by him arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the VIII Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Consultative Council in Baku, "Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said following the conference with Oliver Varhelyi today, APA reports.

Bayramov said that Azerbaijan attaches special attention to comprehensive cooperation with the EU: “I would like to focus on energy cooperation. For many years, Azerbaijan has become a reliable supplier of oil to the European Union and its member states, as well as a gas supplier with the completion of the TAP project. last year, European countries purchased 8.2 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan with the launch of the largest project of the XXI century. This volume is expected to increase in 2022."
