Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mirjana Spoljaric on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, stated in a post on the Foreign Ministry’s X account, APA reports.
The post reads:
“On the sidelines of UNGA81, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mirjana Spoljaric to discuss cooperation between Azerbaijan and the ICRC.
The sides exchanged views on the current state of the Azerbaijan–Armenia peace process, efforts to address the legacy of the former conflict, and the critical necessity of clarifying the fate of missing persons.
Azerbaijan reaffirmed its commitment to international humanitarian law and humanitarian principles, emphasizing the importance of dialogue with the ICRC based on mutual interest.”
