Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has lent clarity to the issue of why Azerbaijan namely chose the way of war to resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, APA reports.
J. Bayramov noted that the opposite side had chosen aggression and military provocations against our people and state in the point of view of slowing down this political process, artificially prolonging it: “Of course, in this case, Azerbaijani state was out of patience. In accordance with both the Constitution of our country and the UN Charter, following all rules of international humanitarian law, Azerbaijan started counter-attack operations. As a result of the 44-day Patriotic war, our 7 regions, Shusha city, as well as our 9 cities and hundreds of residential settlements were liberated from the occupation. Azerbaijan restored its borders in the international documents-Armenian-Azerbaijani and Iranian-Azerbaijani borders.”
