Italian MFA: Initialing of peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a historic event

The peace agreement initialed in Washington on August 8 was a historically significant event, Italy’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, said during the 6th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Italy Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, APA reports.

“We hope that the new situation that has emerged will contribute to strengthening peace not only in the South Caucasus, but also in other regions,” Cirielli said.
