The International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO) continues its efforts to protect and support civilians facing a severe humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, ICDO told APA.
ICDO Secretary-General Ergüc Kelenterli has called on member states to support the humanitarian initiative.
In this regard, the Government of Israel has officially authorized the humanitarian initiative. This authorization will allow humanitarian aid to be delivered safely, in a coordinated and efficient manner through Israeli territory to the affected civilian population. The ICDO leadership notes that the constructive cooperation shown by the Israeli side is of great importance for ensuring the uninterrupted continuation of the organization’s humanitarian activities.
The organization also emphasizes that the principles of neutrality, independence, and humanity guide all humanitarian operations, and cooperation with all partners will be expanded within this framework.
