"Today, Islamophobia is the official policy in France," independent researcher Roland Eugene Laffitte said as he delivered a speech during the panel discussion on "Anti-Islamic Policy in France: Normalization of Islamophobia" whithin the framework of the Baku-hosted international scientific conference on “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024”, APA reports.
The independent French researcher noted that if a person is detained by the police in France and that person is of Arab origin or from the African continent, they face more difficulties. "Or if you have an Arabic surname, you will get more rejections when applying for a job. In France, Islam is inculcated as a political concept. They perceive Islam as a violent religion, as a source of jihad, as an uncontrollable concept. They inculcated Islam as jihadist. Today, Islamophobia is the official policy in France."
