Iranian ambassador says relations with Azerbaijan are developing in a healthy and positive way

“We must strive to make effective use of the opportunities arising in this new situation, to bring the two peoples even closer to each other, and to further deepen the relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries. I would like to emphasize once again that Nakhchivan has a special role in this process, and we must take advantage of these opportunities," said the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilou, who is on a visit to Nakhchivan, in an interview with APA’s local bureau.

Noting that friendly relations exist between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran, the Iranian ambassador recalled that over the past few months, President Masoud Pezeshkian has visited Azerbaijan twice — the first time to Baku, and the second time to Khankendi: “As a result of these visits and the meetings held, very good agreements have been reached, and the relations have become even stronger. These agreements concern both the economic sphere and other areas, including political relations. This shows that we must make effective use of the existing opportunities. I can say with full confidence that at present our relations are developing in the right direction and in a healthy manner, both in the political and other fields. We believe that in the future these relations will develop even further.”
