A meeting was held with the participation of Azerbaijani and Iranian members of the Joint Technical Commission established in connection with the continuation of construction and operation of "Khudaferin" and "Giz Galasi" hydro junctions and hydropower plants on the Araz River, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
The meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the two countries at the "Giz Galasi" dam in Iran.
Iran and Azerbaijan have agreed to implement previously agreed documents on the Khudafar and "Giz Galasi" power plants, as well as to continue work on hydropower and power plants, and to identify investments and contractors.
It was agreed that more than $ 22 million would be required to complete the work and that the contract for the power plants would be determined by WB rules.
It is forecasted that contractors will be identified and work will begin in the next 4 months
