"Importance of the Middle Corridor in the direction of East-West direction is increasing every day," said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at the trilateral meeting of Azerbaijani-Turkish-Kazakh ministers of foreign affairs and ministers of transportation, APA's Istanbul bureau reports.
In 2022, the volume of goods transported through this corridor is expected to be 6 times more than last year, i.e. 3.2 million tons.
According to the minister, international actors are also showing more interest in the Middle Corridor.
"Projects like Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, and TANAP are strategic in nature. Azerbaijan's liberation of lands under occupation opened new opportunities. We have opened Fuzuli and Zangilan airports opening Karabakh to the world," he noted.
