Indonesia supports the establishment of joint centers for media cooperation among D-8 countries, said Agustaviano Sofjan, Senior Policy Advisor for Multilateral Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the D-8 Media Forum on the theme "Fostering Dialogue, Collaboration, and Regional Cohesion", APA reports.
“Indonesia has formulated a broad vision for the media sector until 2045. According to this vision, increasing media literacy, effective use of technology, and leveraging reliable artificial intelligence solutions are among the main priorities.
Indonesia considers it important to establish joint centers for developing common capabilities in digital journalism, fact-checking and preventing disinformation, exchanging experiences, and promoting cultural heritage.
In addition, the use of artificial intelligence in the media, strengthening professional cooperation between media organizations, and implementing various exchange programs are also important directions of the country's media strategy,” the Indonesian guest said.
