"Improvemet of relations with neighboring countries is a priority in Azerbaijan's foreign policy," Spokesperson for Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva said, APA reports.
According to her, to date, Azerbaijan has developed relations with all neighboring countries except Armenia, the reason for which is clear: “However, after the conflict, Azerbaijan has made statements to normalize relations with that neighbor and certain steps are taken. "Development of relations and cooperation with neighboring countries is a priority for us."
The Foreign Ministry official noted that Azerbaijan is the only member of the Eastern Partnership that establishes strategic cooperation with 9 EU countries.
Leyla Abdullayeva said Azerbaijan has recently intensified relations with Latin American countries.
