Hungarian FM comments on Ukraine crisis in Baku

"Hungary is located in Central Europe and when tensions and clashes arise between east and west, then our region and country become the losing side, We no longer want to be the loser as a result of these clashes, " Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siarto said in response to APA's question about the situation around Ukraine.

"The Cold War is not a joke, we have suffered a lot, so we do not want to return to that page of history. We are against the conflict between East and West. A few days ago, I and our Prime Minister visited Moscow. Prime Minister Viktor Orban met with the Russian President and had a dialogue, which was supported by us. We are glad that more European leaders are aware of the importance of dialogue. The French president and the German government stressed the importance of direct talks with Russian President Putin. On the other hand, US officials will meet with their Russian counterparts in the coming weeks. We are glad to see this dialogue and the continuation of the diplomatic process.
