The illegal puppet regime in Karabakh must be dissolved and disarmed, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said in an interview with Reuters, APA reports.
Hikmet Hajiyev later added:
"I would like to clarify the following in response to numerous inquiries from international journalists, including Reuters, Politico, and BBC:
Tomorrow, at the initiative of Russia, a food convoy from the Russian Red Cross Society will proceed through the Aghdam-Askeran road towards Khankandi. This is a separate agreement and should not be confused with the proposal to open both the Aghdam-Khankandi and Lachin-Khankandi roads simultaneously for the delivery of ICRC. Azerbaijan, on September 1, expressed its willingness for the simultaneous opening of the Aghdam-Khankandi and Lachin-Khankandi roads as a goodwill gesture. However, the illegal regime declined this proposal.
Indeed, at the Lachin border checkpoint, Azerbaijan's customs and border control regime should be implemented.
False and fabricated elections. I would like to call this a serious misfortune. The illegal marionette regime should be abolished and disarmed. This is the only way to ensure sustainable peace, where both Armenian and Azerbaijani inhabitants of Karabakh can live together."
