Demining is an ethical and important commitment, said former Turkish Foreign Minister Hikmet Cetin while delivering a speech at the international conference on the topic of humanitarian demining activity in Baku, APA reports.
"Mines must be considered as dangerous as chemical and biological weapons. UN should increase its efforts in this field. Demining of 900 kilometers of border with Syria has been implemented in Turkey".
Hikmet Cetin stressed the importance of the conference in Baku for cooperation in the field of demining.
