Our expectation is that the process will be completed in accordance with the statements and apology of the Russian President in Dushanbe, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a press conference on the results of the year, APA reports.
The minister said that the Chairman of Russia’s Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, sent a letter to Azerbaijan regarding the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) aircraft, informing that the criminal case had been terminated, which caused serious surprise in Azerbaijan.
“An appropriate and detailed position on that letter was presented by the relevant authorities. Our expectation is that the process will be concluded in line with the discussions held between the leaders of the two countries. I believe that this issue will also be clarified,” the minister said.
