“Discussions were held over two days with representatives of civil society coming from Armenia. The name of the group has now been determined; it will be called the ‘Peace Bridge’ Initiative,” said Farhad Mammadov, Chairman of the South Caucasus Studies Center, participating in a meeting with a group of Armenian civil society representatives who visited Baku on November 21–22, 2025, as part of the ‘Peace Bridge’ Initiative.
He noted that over the next six months, collaboration among experts, activities aimed at informing civil society representatives, and joint cooperation in the media field were discussed:
“The initiation of preparations for the implementation of projects in specific directions has been approved. After this, events in different directions are planned, and they will be conducted solely in a bilateral format. Within the framework of events, visits by representatives from both sides will be organized, and both countries will be visited. These visits are intended not only for the five members of this group but also for a larger number of civil society representatives from both countries.”
