Georgian PM to embark on a visit to Azerbaijan on March 16-UPDATED

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will visit Azerbaijan on March 16, and Armenia next week, APA's correspondent in Tbilisi reports.

PM has stressed that deepening relations with neighboring countries is one of main priorities for Georgian government.

"It is not a coincidence that meetings will also be held with neighboring countries after a visit to Brussels. I will visit Azerbaijan on Saturday, and Armenia next week. We will discuss all issues regarding bilateral cooperation. Provision of peace in the region is essential and you know that our country has always played a positive role. That is why all will be done for deepening bilateral relations, promotion of peace and stability in our region - South Caucasus," noted Kobakhidze.

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze will visit Azerbaijan this week, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.

According to the information, the head of Georgain government will hold a number of high-level bilateral meetings in Baku and discuss Georgian-Azerbaijani relations as part of his visit.

Noted that Irakli Kobakhidze, who was appointed as the Prime Minister of Georgia in February, made his first trip abroad to Brussels. His visit to Azerbaijan will be his second foreign visit, as well as his first visit to the countries of the region.
