"Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) which is a part of the Southern Gas Corridor, is a strategic infrastructure delivering gas from Azerbaijan to Europe while the continent faces with significant problems in energy supply," said Christos Capodistrias, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan at an event in Baku dedicated to National Day of Greece, APA reports.
Ambassador has noted that it is already more than three years TAP transports natural gas from Azerbaijan to Greece, Bulgaria, and Italy, as well as through our neighbor Türkiye sustainably and reliably: "Since start of operations, TAP transported more than 33.5 bln. c/m gas to Greece, Bulgaria, and Italy. In 2023, TAP was the third largest natural gas importer of Greece and made up 18% of whole natural gas import of Greece."
