Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Committee on Regional Policy and Self-Government of the Georgian Parliament, will head the friendship group with Azerbaijan, APA's local bureau reports.
His candidacy was proposed by the parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee.
The issue was put to a vote at the meeting of the legislative body's bureau and recommended to the plenary session. I. Kadagishvili will begin to head the group after his candidacy is supported at the plenary session.
Note that 30 deputies are represented in the friendship group with Azerbaijan.
Recall that the head of the friendship group was Givi Mikanadze. He was appointed Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia on June 30 of this year.
