Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Georgia, bilateral relations are quite intensive, and constant exchange of views is important, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili told journalists after a meeting with her Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, in Samarkand, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to the minister, during the meeting, future steps were planned to make more efficient use of the positions of Georgia and Azerbaijan in terms of the development of the Middle Corridor.
“Work is being carried out on specific projects, and in this context, political dialogue at the level of foreign ministers is important. In the near future, there are also other important topics, including high-level visits and issues of cooperation in various areas that we constantly discuss,” the minister said.
Bochorishvili emphasized that the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan holds great significance: “This partnership is very important not only for Georgia and Azerbaijan in terms of bilateral relations but also in the broader context of regional cooperation.”
