Starting a new war with Azerbaijan would lead Armenia to destruction

Consecutive terrorist acts committed by illegal Armenian groups against the civilian population in the territory of Azerbaijan gave the official Baku a full legal basis to start such an operation, Georgian political expert Badri Nachkebia told APA’s Tbilisi correspondent

“Local anti-terror measures initiated by Azerbaijan have all legal bases. The terrorist incidents took place on its territory, and this gives a legal basis for Azerbaijan to take adequate measures as a country affected by terrorism. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has already stated that he recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and confirmed that Garabagh is the territory of Azerbaijan. In such a case, starting a new war with Azerbaijan would lead to the destruction of Armenia. In general, these events that took place in a short period of time are a logical continuation of the victory won by Azerbaijan in the 44-day war. Achieving peace will boost the development of both Armenia and the entire region," Nachkebia said.

After the anti-terrorist measures, there will be peace and tranquility in the South Caucasus

Georgian expert Georgi Jakhaia stressed that Armenia has been trying to get rid of the Garabagh problem for a long time, and finding a solution to the problem will give it the opportunity to integrate into the regional economy: "The population in Armenia does not want to fight anymore. I believe that after the end of anti-terrorist measures, there will be peace and tranquility in the South Caucasus."

The Armenian government does not want to be a captive of the Garabagh problem

Political commentator Tengiz Tkhilava stresses that the refusal of the Armenian authorities to fight against Azerbaijan alongside the separatists during the anti-terrorist measures shows that Yerevan no longer wants to remain captive of the Garabagh problem.

"Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated yesterday that Armenia will not fight against Azerbaijan on the side of Garabagh separatists. This is absolutely the right decision. He understands that it is ürong to make the whole country a captive of the Garabagh problem. This situation has greatly hindered the development of Armenia. In general, anti-terrorist measures are a logical continuation of the events that have taken place in recent years. The solution to the problem is very simple: all armed groups should be removed from Garabagh and Garabagh should be fully controlled by Azerbaijan. As for the position of the Georgian government, I am sure that it will express its position," Tkhilava said.
