Georgia welcomes the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Georgian President Mikheil Kvelashvili said during his meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, APA’s local bureau reports.
He expressed hope that the two countries will sign a peace treaty in the near future.
According to Kvelashvili, the agreement will elevate the positive development dynamics in the South Caucasus and the region’s attractiveness to a qualitatively new level.
The president noted that Georgia supports the establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus and is ready to contribute to the process.
