On June 30, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Anne Bouillon was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry told APA.
At the meeting, the French side was protested regarding the French President Emmanuel Macron's views against Azerbaijan, which unilaterally defended Armenia and did not reflect the truth, expressed in the meeting with the Armenian community in Marseille, and an explanation was requested from French side on the issue.
The ambassador was told that E. Macron, who is remembered for his anti-Azerbaijani statements many times, is voicing biased opinions again, is a clear example of the fact that the French president is a tool in the hands of the French Armenian lobby and that he could not achieve his goals in the war and post-war period.
It was emphasized that against the background of Armenia's support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the recognition of the Karabakh region as an integral part of Azerbaijan, such biased statements with reference to E. Macron hinder the establishment of peace and tranquility in the region and encourage the further expansion of the destructive activities of those who encourage and support separatism and terrorism.
