France's policy towards Muslims is becoming increasingly authoritarian - CAGE International Managing Director

"The French government has taken the line of taking serious measures against Muslims, and this line is becoming increasingly authoritarian," Managing Director of CAGE International Muhammad Abdur Rabbani said as he delivered a speech during the panel discussion on "Anti-Islamic Policy in France: Normalization of Islamophobia" whithin the framework of the Baku-hosted international scientific conference on “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024”, APA reports.

He spoke about the cases of being banned from participating in conferences held in different countries, not being able to get a visa, or being deported by the order of the French government.

CAGE International's Managing Director stated that France is afraid of international criticism. He reminded that France will host the Olympic Games and said, "We must put pressure on France in this matter, because France is very sensitive to criticism."
