Azerbaijani citizens leaving Ukraine can cross the border into Turkey using the territory of Bulgaria, APA reports quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
"Due to the situation in Ukraine, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who left the country by crossing into neighboring countries can go to the Republic of Turkey by land transit through the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
- Attention! Azerbaijiani citizens who left Ukraine by crossing the land border to neighboring countries can travel to the Republic of Bulgaria through all border crossings between Romania and Bulgaria, and from there to the Republic of Turkey.
- Taking into account the fact that the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan left the territory of the Republic of Ukraine due to the conflict, the Bulgarian side has temporarily abolished the visa requirement for transit through the territory of the country. At the same time, citizens must present a travel document (passport or return certificate) at the border checkpoint.
- The Bulgarian side will not necessarily require a COVID-19 passport and a negative PCR test for COVID-19 from the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan wishing to cross the land border from Romania due to the humanitarian situation.
