Foreign minister: Increase in flights from Türkiye to Armenia was not a surprise, we were informed

“Türkiye is a brotherly state for Azerbaijan; we are allied countries. There is no parallel to these relations,” said Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, at a press conference dedicated to the results of the year, APA reports.

The minister stated that relations are based not only on historical ties but also on sincere relations between the leaders of the two countries: “Türkiye has always supported Azerbaijan in relations with Armenia, which are sensitive for Azerbaijan. After the 44-day Patriotic War, the Türkiye–Armenia normalization process was carried out through coordinated actions. This has been yielding positive results. My counterpart, Hakan Fidan, also said at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye that relations between Armenia and Türkiye depend on Azerbaijan’s relations with Armenia. I am confident that this cooperation will continue in the future as well. At the same time, the increase in the number of flights from Türkiye to Armenia was not new for us; we were aware of it.”
