“When speaking about relations between the two states, we cannot fail to mention the numerous Jewish communities in Azerbaijan. At the same time, a large part of the diaspora in Israel consists of those who moved there from Azerbaijan. They also have a positive impact on relations between the two countries,” Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, Gideon Sa'ar, APA reports.
The minister noted that it was no coincidence that the minister’s visit began yesterday with a meeting with representatives of the Jewish community: “Tomorrow is the day of commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust. We commemorate and honor them.”
