Farid Shafiyev: "Only way of solution is mutual recognition of territorial integrity"

"One of main reasons for conflicts between Armenia and Azerbaijan is not only non-existence of a peace agreement but also non-existence of significant progress in several directions such as delimitation and transport links," said Farid Shafiyev, chairman of the Center for International Relations Analysis, APA reports.

A few days ago, Armenia announced its rejection of Zangazur/Mehri railway project," F. Shafiyev noted.

Farid Shafiyev has stressed that another main barrier in front of peace is presence of illegal Armenian forces in Azerbaijani territory: "It had to be resolved a long time ago, but as before the 2020 war, almost all issues after the war were created by Armenia. The only way of solution is mutual recognition of territorial integrity with other relevant terms."
