“Azerbaijan suffered from the pressure of global powers. Azerbaijan was part of the empire, and the region is still suffering from its consequences,” Chairman of the Board of the Center of Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiyev told a press conference following a round table held on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Bureau, APA reports.
Farid Shafiyev noted that The Non-Aligned Movement has always been active in promoting the elimination of this problem, the colonialism. "Today, the problems in the French colonies were discussed. The discussions will be continued," the chairman added.
