From 17:00 to 19:00 today, more than 100 foreign nationals were evacuated through the Astara Border Customs Checkpoint, APA’s southern bureau reports.
Russian Federation, Chinese and Pakistani citizens make up the majority of those evacuated.
More than 70 Russian citizens have been sent to their home country via Azerbaijan.
The evacuation process is ongoing.

The evacuation process from Iran via the Azerbaijani border is ongoing, APA’s southern bureau reports.
Currently, the passage of Russian Federation citizens has begun through the Astara Border Customs Checkpoint.
Following the relevant procedures, nearly 15 Russian citizens have been evacuated through the checkpoint.
In addition, after 10:00 a.m., the evacuation of 10 Azerbaijani, 5 Chinese, 4 Tajik, and nearly 20 Pakistani citizens was carried out.
