The European Union has welcomed Azerbaijan’s handover of Vagif Khachaturyan, Gevorg Sujyan, David Davtyan, and Vigen Euljekjiyan to Armenia, APA reports.
"It is a great step forward in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. The EU will continue to support further positive steps between the two countries," Anitta Hipper, lead spokesperson for the foreign affairs and security policy of the EU, said in an X post.
The EU’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, has also welcomed Azerbaijan’s handover of Vagif Khachaturyan, Gevorg Sujyan, David Davtyan, and Vigen Euljekjiyan to Armenia.
