On November 5, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan–European Union (EU) cooperation, the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process, as well as regional and international issues, were discussed.
The sides reviewed cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in political, economic, transport, energy security, and other areas. The importance of negotiations concerning cooperation platforms and instruments between Azerbaijan and the EU was emphasized.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high-level contacts and dialogues held in recent months and stressed the importance of continuing efforts in this direction.
The Special Representative conveyed the EU’s readiness to support the achievements made within the framework of the Washington Summit.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, informed the counterpart about the progress and prospects in the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization and peace process, highlighting Azerbaijan’s position.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
