EU mission performs the function of Armenia's fake information carrier-ANALYSIS

Aiming to disrupt stability in the region and initiatives towards the conclusion of a peace agreement, Armenia willingly takes advantage of the services of the European Union mission in this regard.

The interesting thing is that the mission itself is no less eager than Armenia to act as a disruptor in the processes. Any positive step taken by the European Union mission in terms of contributing to the peace process since its operation in Armenia is not visible. On the contrary, the mission performs a deterrent and destructive function more successfully.

The last event can be considered the next loop of this function. Today, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia released information about the alleged firing of the European Union mission by the Azerbaijani Army.

However, not long after that, refuting this information, the Azerbaijani side stated that the time of the European Union observers' visits in the direction of the conventional border in Armenia, their movement route, coordinates in the area, as well as the brand and number plates of the vehicles are presented to the Azerbaijani side in advance. The units of the Azerbaijani Army are aware of the mission's visits.

That’s why, the occurrence of such a situation claimed by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia is theoretically and practically impossible.

Following the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the mission of the European Union made a post on its social account "X" ("Twitter") and refuted the information by the Armenian side. The post by the mission noted that the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia about the firing of EU observers by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces is false, the patrol of the EU monitoring mission was not the target of fire.

But what happened after that revealed that the observation mission of the European Union in Armenia took a biased position and became a propaganda tool in the hands of Armenia. What happened, a little later the statement of the EU mission refuting the Armenians’ claim was deleted.

Apart from that, the persons presented as members of the monitoring mission made statements saying they were fired on by Azerbaijan. However, for some reason, the faces of the interviewees are not visible in the footage, impossible to understand that they are really members of the mission.

At the same time, there is nothing in the videos presented by the Armenian side that show the Azerbaijani side’s shooting at the members of the mission. This gives reason to think that the presented videos are fake.

It seems that the EU mission, which revealed the truth, noting that the Armenian side's statement was false, faced pressure from the official Yerevan. It can also be said that the representatives of the pro-Armenian countries in the mission (for example, France) have a role in this issue.

All this shows that the EU, including its mission, have become a toy in the hands of pro-Armenian countries and forces.

The saddest part is that this mission performs the function of a fake information carrier of Armenia and demonstrates a biased position. Considering that the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, is one of the main mediators of peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, there is no doubt that such activities of the mission casts shadow on this mediation. In all cases, it is a bitter regret that an influential union like the EU has become a tool in the hands of a dwarf like Armenia.
