The peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan creates great prospects for the development of the Trans-Caspian route, said the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, in an interview with the Kazakh "Silk Way" TV channel, APA reports.
"At the EU-Central Asia summit held in April, we agreed to accelerate the development of the Middle Corridor. The peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan also opens up new opportunities. This creates great prospects for the full development of the Trans-Caspian route, which connects Asia to Europe and has access to the Black Sea," Costa noted.
