“We are intensively working with the parties in the field of strengthening of confidence between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” said high ranking European diplomat, APA reports.
He noted that the EU is devoted to working with the parties.
The diplomat reminded the phone conversation of the President of the European Union Council with Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders.
“At the same time, the sides gave consent on the establishment of the direct contact between the defence ministers. I consider that the establishment of this contact has already bear fruits. Thus, de-escalation became possible. This will prevent the occurrence of any tense in the future. There are many works to be done,” the diplomat stressed.
